SUPERIOR GRILL

Originally a standard Shoney's Big Boy, the design of this complete renovation and addition project captures an authentic border cantina atmosphere. Completely restructured with salvaged materials, heavy timbers, brick and lumber combined with real stucco and stained concrete floors, the restaurant combines interior and outdoor dining experiences into one unique whole.

The design reference guide was a series of snapshots and video from Mexico and the southwest provided by the Owner. The Designform team performed much of the design work on site as the salvaged materials came in and their place was determined in the context of the entire design concept.

In addition, Designform recently designed a patio enclosure at Superior Grill. The enclosure will provide for year-round use of the existing patio, ensuring full turnover of all available seating.
