uab dEPT. OF JUSTICE & FORENSIC SCIENCE

Located in the University Boulevard Office Building, Designform provided laboratory programming, laboratory planning, construction documentation, MEPFP engineering, construction contract administration, and interior design services for the 20,000-square-foot Department of Justice Science and Forensic Science.

The project includes instructional and research laboratories as well as classrooms, administrative offices and a mock trial room for courtroom technique training. Designform worked closely with the faculty and administration to coordinate the laboratory design with new and existing equipment making numerous trips to existing facilities to document utility requirements and to understand design opportunities for an improved laboratory and teaching environment.
