Marx Brothers has been Birmingham’s very own coconut importer and processor since 1919. This nearly century old family owned company has outgrown their existing facility and required an additional 40,000-square-foot of storage space so they may expand their production and consolidate their existing storage under one roof.

Much thought and detail were incorporated into the design in order to provide a cohesive blending of the original and new structures. Substantial emphasis was placed on this project’s design features due to close proximity to the newly completed Rotary Walking Trail.

Designform provided full scope of services for this conventional steel frame and load bearing concrete tilt-up addition which included architectural design / documentation, civil engineering, structural engineering, MEPFP engineering, and construction contract administration.
