FEDEX GROUND FACILITY

This 225,000-square-foot package distribution facility located in Staunton, Virginia is constructed as a pre-engineered metal building. This was expected to be the largest project the City of Staunton had in the area. The new facility consists of 8,050-square-feet for office space, 40 bays for tractor-trailer trucks and hundreds of inside spaces for delivery vans. 

The project tackled various difficult challenges such as rock blasting, unsuitable soil conditions, and poor weather during the cold months of October and December.

Designform provided architectural design and documentation based on Federal Express prototypes.
